Plan A Trip!

Faith Gray, Lifestyles Editor

Doesn’t it sound so nice to just relax, explore new territory, and just take a vacation. Whether it is for work or pleasure, it is always exciting to get away for awhile. There are 50 states in The United States of America!! Visit a few! After you visit the states, you can travel to all the other countries! Or vice versa! Life is too short not to get out there and make some fantastic memories.

First step to planning a trip is definitely saving up money, or getting a loan in order to pay for it. With the price of a round trip plane ticket, a hotel for each night, food and drink, and fun activities, the price will be decently high no matter where you go! So, work that extra shift, save instead of spend, and really put in the work in order to get away for awhile.

The following step would be to figure out what time works best to leave and the amount of nights you want to be gone. Personally, if the flight is 5 or more hours, 6 nights is a minimum. But your budget totally affects the amount of nights, so keep that in mind. If you have a job, make sure to write on the work calendar the days off, and have a conversation with your boss to let them know face to face.

Now, where are you going??? This is always a super difficult decision because there are so many awesome places to explore! Many people revisit states or countries they have been to before, but I suggest going somewhere new! Or at least- if you’re going to a place you’ve been, go to a different area, do different things! Don’t recreate the same memories, create new ones! If simply decided is just too stressful and hard, put a map on your wall and throw a dart or thumb tack onto it! Go wherever it lands!

Next is to find the purrrfect hotel! One that not only fits the budget, but is the nicest you can afford! Even if a day is filled with activities, coming back to a nice hotel feels great and relaxing. Finding package deals on expedia which includes flight + hotel is probably the most efficient option. It includes money off, and shows you the best deal for your budget!

Hmmm, what to do there? Look it up! Wherever you decide to go, SOMEONE has gone there also. Chances that they shared their experiences? Very likely. Look up what to do in the area you will be visiting and i’m sure it will not disappoint. Remember your budget, and pick the top things that sound most exciting! Remember not to over do it, having some days off to just relax by the pool or in your hotel room are important also.

I hope this article helped with your trip planning, and gave you some new ideas. Traveling is something you definitely do not want to miss out on, life is just way to short.
