Overboard is a drama with a whole lot of comedy, or the other way around? And because this movie is really crazy, it is actually a romantic too. This movie teaches a lot of great life lessons, and really proves what exactly is really important in life. This movie came out on May 4, 2018, and it is definitely a must see. It follows a busy mom of three daughters, who is extremely stress-filled and kind-of poor. Her life gets turned upside down by a man who she hates extremely.

This is actually a remake of the original movie that came out in 1987. The original movie featured Goldi Hawn and Kurt Russel, and although I haven’t seen the original – I heard that it was super funny. The new one I’m sure lives up to the same potential because it is heartwarming and very comical.

The plot of the movie starts with Kate, who is a single, working-class mother of three who works two jobs. With one she is hired to clean a luxury yacht that belongs to Leonardo — a selfish, spoiled and wealthy Mexican playboy. After unjustly firing Kate, and being terribly rude and unkind, Leonardo falls off the boat and wakes up with no memory of who he is. To get payback, Kate shows up at the hospital and convinces the confused amnesiac that they’re married. Kate is in the middle of nurse schooling- so this would create the perfect opportunity for her to get her studying done and pass the test! As Leonardo tries to get used to manual labor and his new family, Kate starts to wonder how long she can keep fooling her fake husband and how far she is willing to go with the lie.

The minute you watch the trailer, you will book your seats at the theater! This movie was rated three-four stars out of five and I would have to agree. It is super hilarious and is totally worth the trip to the movies instead of waiting for redbox.

I suggest that if you want to see this movie and/or Life of the Party- go to the Rodeo Drive Inn! It is only $9.75 per person for both movies, and is a really great experience only an hour away!
