We are so lucky to have grown up in such a beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest! With the Cascade Mountain range, rainforests, large cities and small towns, Washington is one of the best places for outdoor adventures. There is something for everyone to do in the West Coast so take a road trip and see what Washington has to offer.

Washington has it all:  Mountains, Oceans, Lakes, Forests, waterfalls and Rivers. Some of the most epic nature in Washington is found in the Olympic Peninsula- the Olympic Peninsula is filled with beaches with large mountains towering over and large rainforests right by the beaches. The best things to see in the Olympic peninsula consists of…

  • Lake Diablo-  The turquoise waters of lake diablo will definitely make you feel like you are in a dream. The lake is surrounded by mountains, dense forests and camp sites. Yes, you can camp right by this beautiful lake and wake up in wonderland every morning.
  • Lake Chelan- This 50 mile narrow lake in central Washington is clear still water that is perfect for just floating. Lake Chelan is a perfect summer getaway with your best friends.
  • Mount baker- This mountain is beautiful all year long, you can go here for skiing in the winter or you can go in the summer to enjoy a nice hike. In the summer mt baker has these beautiful wildflowers and views of the famous peaks.
  • Artist point hikethis hike is only open in summer time, this one mile hike will lead you to a 360 view of all the mountains around you.
  • Chain Lakes loop hike- this hike is only for those are are up for a long and hard challenge, this is a 8 mile hike.
  • Mount Pilchuck- This 3 mile hike is short but still relatively hard, the summit tops around 5300 ft. On your way to the top you will encounter many different terrains such as huge boulders you have to climb around, Steep drops so stay on the other side of the trail. Although this is a hard hike that may require some rock climbing, the view is well worth the challenge. At the summit you will arrive at an old fire lookout house that has a 360 view of Mount Baker, Mount Rainier and the Olympics.
  • The Ice Caves-  On the Mountain Loop Highway there is one of the most popular stops to take in Washington, the Ice Caves. When going to the ice caves make sure you obey the park rules since it is dangerous.
  • Shi Shi Beach Up in the Olympic Peninsula close to Canada there is Shi Shi Beach, this beach is the perfect place to go to take a weekend getaway. You can camp right on the beach and they allow you to have fires on the sand as well. But you will need a backcountry permit. While there go explore because you will find hidden tide pools.

Go explore the PNW, it will not disappoint.
