Ludacris Back In The Game?

Aakil Wasson, Staff Writer

Ludacris has gone back to his roots and started making music again so let’s go back his through the history of his music career. Ludacris born Christopher Brian Bridges released his debut album Incognegro in 1999, his debut album put him on the map in the rap game but it wasn’t till his second album that helped him gain momentum with his songs Southern Hospitality and What’s Your Fantasy. In 2001 Ludacris release Word of Mouf by Disturbing Tha Peace and Def Jam South, the album went triple platinum and hit number 3 on US top 200 billboard charts with his many hit recordsRollout (My Business)”, “Area Codes”, “Move B*tch”, “Saturday (Oooh Oooh!)”, “Welcome to Atlanta.” He then released Chicken-n-Beer which quickly hit number one on the top billboard with his song and his next album this time going double platinum and once again quickly hit number one on the billboard charts. But after all the seemingly one rap style of just boosting about money and women Ludacris took a different route with the next two Release Therapy and Theater Of The Mind came with mixed criticism with many people criticized him for his more serious tone although Release Therapy did hit number one and Theater Of The Mind only made it to number five marking his lowest charting album in his career. He took two years off of putting out music and decided to record his next album Battle Of The Sexes where you can really tell the he took his criticism with a grain of salt because it yet again hit number one with hit songs “How Low” and “My Chick Bad” both reaching double platinum. Then in 2015 he dropped Ludaversal went to number two on the billboard charts. His most recent music is his song with Ty Dolla Sign “Vitamin D” and he featured on Carrie Underwood’s “The Champion.” Now there rumors of Luda dropping a whole new album and of history repeats itself then we are going to be in for a treat when he does.
